Is Game the Problem?

Ep 185 The Game wants to clear the air, but does anybody actually owe him a conversation? I look at his history with Kendrick Lamar, the constant references, the interviews and why his own behavior may explain some of the distance. Then, Dr. Dre says AI is another tool for creativity. I get into why I disagree and what embracing AI could mean for producers, writers and musicians. HIROMI UEHARA Hiromi's Sonicbloom: Time Control (Jazz Rock/Fusion, 2007)

Review by Fercandio46 — There is something distinctive that makes Hiromi a jazz pianist whose albums transcend the genre; she grew up listening to 70s fusion and progressive bands, incorporating those harmonies into her music. Consequently, with her group Sonicbloom, those "spacey" explorations and ethereal sounds became more prominent, heightened by the presence of David Fiuczynski, an exquisite avant-garde guitarist whose style defies simple categorization, though it undoubtedly reflects the legacy of Allan Holdsworth. BAKULLAMA / EX BAKU LLAMA Spider (Eclectic Prog, 2026)

Review by Steve Conrad — Well, They LOOK "Normal"! Rick Whitehurst, I mean. Who, along with Krystal Pavlovic, have composed and performed "Spider", under the 'current' name of BAKULLAMA & KRYSTAL. I say 'current', since as you can plainly see, if you actually do look at the fine- and not so fine- print, that there is also the "EX BAKU LLAMA" moniker, as well as (if you query BAKULLAMA on ProgArchives, you will ALSO see BAKU), and yes, now "BAKULLAMA & KRYSTAL". So maybe even the esteemed ProgArchives is confused. BAKULLAMA et al Near as I can piece it together- and I'm probably making way more

TREES SPEAK PostHuman (Krautrock, 2021)

Review by Sean Trane — These Arizona bros are definitely hooked on Krautrock ala Neu!, Can, Tangerine Dream and more of the kind. Soundscapes of Tangerine Dream, Cluster, early-Kraftwerk and the hypnotic "motorik" rock of Neu! or Can. However, Trees Speak take 1970s German experimental rock & electronic music and put their own modern spin on them. Too bad they don't expand (read extend) more some of those great ideas (some of these tracks are way too short, IMHO), thus inducing a bit of a frustration in terms of depth - though this is never shallow, au contraire. One can only wonder if they'd
